We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations.
After breakfast our professional English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel for your private Meteora tour.
Passing by the most picturesque villages of the mainland we will arrive at Meteora around noon. We are going to visit two to three monasteries. Afterwards, you will have time at leisure for lunch. Return to Athens taking the same the same route late in the evening.
Meteora‘s landscape is formed by a unique natural phenomenon of high rocks pushed from the depth of the Earth. This particular location was chosen by the Orthodox Monks of the 14th century as a place of serenity, spirituality and inspiring cult that would light the path to peace and harmony.
The Orthodox Monks built the Monasteries on top of these rocks, so they could be closer to God and start their spiritual elevation. They built everything they needed inside the Monasteries so they could be isolated from the rest of the world and live the presence of God through their faith.
